Boston, 1920.
Two Italian immigrants, Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti, are
accused of armed robbery and murder.
It
is soon evident that the two defendants are innocent, but American
justice wants to condemn them for the simple reason that they are
anarchists and Italians. The defence efforts to dismantle the fragile
accusations are in vain and Sacco and Vanzetti are condemned to death.
In spite of the fact that mobilisation in favour of the two Italian
immigrants spreads worldwide and becomes more and more intense, Sacco
and Vanzetti are executed in August 1927.
