Sinopsis:

Musoduro is a twenty year old youth, whose mother is dead and whose father has emigrated to America. He lives alone with Speranza, a stray dog which he has found. He forms a partnership with "The Frog", a quiet and good natured poacher and the two get their food by killing game in the neighbouring reserves in defiance of the game wardens. Romolo is one of the wildiest of the wardens and makes use of all his cleverness to catch the young poachers in the act. Musoduro is Romolo's rival in love as well, since both are trying to win the hand of Lucia, the prettiest girl in the region. The game warden, through a series of coincidences succeeds in pinning the blame for the death of "The Frog" upon Musoduro. "The Frog" has actually fallen into a trap set by the game warden for his rival. But Musoduro is forced to flee the law because of Romolo's accusations.
