Sinopsis:

Roman centurion Gayo is sent by the Roman Senat in Asia Minor to make sense of some mysterious events: mainly the robbing of the war treasure that the Roman consul Lucull had envoyed to the capital and also the mysterious killing of many Roman soldiers which is due - apparently - to the powerful and bloody head of a religious sect,  Adherbal. After many adventures, the Roman army headed by Gayo attacks Adherbalo's army, that is made up of the dead Roman soldiers that Adherbalo has magically called back to life through some mysterious Egyptian formula. Adherbalo's side seems to be prevailing but then Gayo manages to kill the evil priest and the spell is broken, thus turning the battle in favour of the Romans.
