Sinopsis: Around the year 700 Harald, son of Sigurd,
the Chief of the Vikings, goes back to his country, not without sailing
the seas and robbing several boats. But upon his return, he finds out
that his father has been killed and that Sveno, King of Norway, has
chased the Vikings. Harald plans to reunite his people, and presents
himself to Sveno, making him believe he is really Godruno - ambassador
of the Danes - instead. But there he falls in love with Hilde, the king's
stepsister, that has already been promised to the King of Denmark.
Harald stays at the court, while the true Godrun runs away, chased by
Harald's brother, Guntar. But Guntar is captured by Sveno's soldiers,
and Harald cannot but hopelessly assist in his torture. As his true
identity is unveiled, Harald manages to escape with his brother.
