Synopsis
The communist mayor of a small Italian town, Peppone, is constantly in conflict with the parish priest Don Camillo, fighting out their battles on a daily basis. During the election period, things hot up between them, since Peppone is flanked by an attractive comrade sent by his party to help him win. The episode does not bode well for a peaceful family life for the mayor, until Don Camillo intervenes. Other episodes see our two heroes come to blows, although they really need each other if the truth be known. In the end, Peppone is elected, but changes his mind and decides to stay in his town as mayor and continue his squabbles with Don Camillo.
