Synopsis
A late-night radio show is interrupted by a male caller who states that hehas already murdered four women in Madrid and is about to go after the fifth. However, he makes the program’s host the following proposition: he’ll give her some dues as to where his next victim can be found, and ifshe can find the woman in less than an hour’s time, he’ll set her free. This macabre telephone call alerts Maria Ramos, the judge in charge of this serial murder case. She soon ends up pitted against the radio host, a woman too young to be so ambitious, who wants this murder to serve as her way to the top of the rankings. The judge brings a panel of experts together to aid her on the case. Among them is Javier Barea, the coroner’s department’s psychiatrist. He is not only an expert on serial killings; in fact, he turns out to be the murderer himself. He joins in the game of cat and mouse for the sheer pleasure of taking the risk. An ambitious love-hate relationship gets underway between the judge and the coroner’s department’s psychiatrist. Maria starts having her suspicions as to the assassin’s true identity.
